Very quaint, truly a Portland vibe! It's in a rough part of town if you're looking for something posh, but if you're crazy like me and love a bit of grit to your city, I couldn't recommend this place more
Very cute place, friendly and helpful staff, squeaky clean, great price, very secure, quiet, good food, nice common area, close to the Amtrack station.
The room, cafe, rooftop, easy to access transportation and get the city with ease.
I slept better in that bunk then I do in my own home on a farm in Ecuador! It was so cozy and pleasant and private. The shower was hot. I' liked the avocado toast in the restaurant.. the rooftop was grea!
I think the thing I liked the most, however, was that it was walking distance to the train station. I am a 68 year old female and I had a fairly heavy backpack and a rolling suitcase. I made it to the train station in under 15 minutes . There was a wide variety of folks on the street and everybody seemed friendly and pleasant.
There were about five or six others in the dorm when I was there. Everybody was so extremely quiet and respectful. I hadn't stayed in a hostel type setting in at least 45 years! I would go back and stay there because I slept so well.
Very cool vibe, loved the history, and facilities were clean and updated. The roof was cool as well. They had safety features and staff was very attentive.
