The location was amazing, great to be right up in Alishan for when we took the morning training and it was right next to food and shops. Plus, the staff were super friendly and the place was clean. I recommend the firefly tour at night!
we honestly didn’t expect much given the limited hotels available in the Alishan area, but for a short stay, the hotel has exceeded our expectations in terms of cleanliness and hospitality. The room is not enormous for 5 people stay but comfy enough for us to sleep and to rest for the next day. The toilet is old but clean, and we have no issue of finding bugs or dust in the room. We gave extra credit for the lady in the reception for being so friendly and nice, even with our language barriers. She gave us clear instructions and responded to our request on time. The hotel also offer free ride from the hotel to the Alishan bus station, which is a great bonus considering having to take 5 luggages dragging up the hills by ourselves. Overall, it is a pleasant stay that I would recommend when visiting Alishan

Great location for the train for sunrise and the shopping/food area. The room was spacious and the shower had hot water.
We enjoyed our stay at the Kao Feng Hotel and could easily catch the train for the sunrise from there the next morning. The room had a comfortable heater and especially heated mattress and blanket, which was really great!! :) The staff was really friendly and welcoming. For us the little noises from other rooms were no problem.
