Amazing view from the room, cozy area with sunbed. Big rooms & amazing food / breakfast

First solo trip for me and I felt extremely comfortable there.
I spent 5 days at Blue Oyster together with my partner and without exaggeration everything was perfect. The location, the room, the beach, the hotel staff and above all the food. The food was truly exceptional and the most pleasant surprise. The grilled octopus on the lunch menu is to die for. If I ever make it back to Zanzibar, I will be going back to Blue Oyster. I also deeply appreciated their commitment to responsible tourism from minimizing plastic bottle waste and food waste, to using solar power for shower water heaters and appearing to actually care about and invest in staff well-being and the surrounding community. This was one of the reasons I chose Blue Oyster to begin work and I was not disappointed with the choice.
The hotel is on and almost in the Indian ocean. At high tide the waves strikes heavily the barriers of the beach stretch. The power of the ocean is amazing. The management care for details in all aspects, coushions on the beach beds, quality wooden beautiful furnitures in restaurant and outside rooms, amazing breakfast buffet with everything you need. The nearness to the ocean makes a quite narrow beach stretch which is positive: the beach boys are few cause they have very little space. I really like the local life of villagers and fishermen which you can watch and enjoy from the hotel. It gives whole Jambiani an authentic feeling.
The restaurant is situated on the second floor which gives it a very fresh breeze. The food is tasty and rich.
The staff cares for you, tries to remember your name and tries their absolutely best to make you feel like home.
