Staff are great and trained to give you the best shark experience. The hostel is basic but serves the purpose. The blanket was a thin sheet not enough to sleep in the ac room. I had to put all my winter clothes on to fall sleep.

If you want to see the whale sharks there’s no better option. It’s literally located at the entrance of the line to await permits in the morning. The lady who owns the place also sets up the morning queue. You will be guaranteed the first boat out in the morning. She will accompany you the whole process till you’re on the boat. Once you get the permit in the wee hours of the morning you can simply walk the few step n be back at the hostel to rest for a bit. Did not realize how long the line is till we walked out the gate in the morning. She can save you hours of standing in line and guarantee a spot.
