Spacious, clean, very well appointed apartment close to everything and, best of all, a private rooftop terrace with outdoor shower. Fabulous!
PS Bertrand is an amazing host who shared much knowledge about the area.
We chose Bertrand’s place to base ourselves for 20nights to explore Provence without a car. A la Terrasse was perfect, a lovely authentic older style French apartment boasting fabulous views. It is spacious, comfortable and well equipped and is located within easy walking distance to everything Avignon, Villeneuve les Avignon and Barthelasse Island has to offer. The train/bus stations are a 10 min walk for transport to other villages ( I’ Isle Sur La Sorgue, Pont du Gard) and cities ( Arles, Nimes, Marseille). The host Bertrand was excellent with his advice and recommendations. Travel Tips- a)Bring Insect repellent as mosquitoes are rife throughout Provence b)Highly recommend doing the Avignon Gourmet Walking Food Tour when you first arrive to get a feel for this beautiful city.
