I had stayed here several times some years ago. Despite some recent poor reviews, the first floor room that I had was clean. The decoration had some minor marks of age, but not significant. There was a strong smell of tobacco in the room on entry, but opening the window soon cleared it. Generally it was as comfortable as before, and for the price and location near the railway station, it was enormously good value. I did not have breakfast in the hotel, since a very short walk past the Mairie there is an outstandingly good boulangerie, open early, and with coffee.

The location is excellent, right opposite the railway station and near the town centre. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. The TV worked. The room had been repainted recently. The breakfast was good value for money, as was the stay generally. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This place definitely exceeded my expectations considering some of the reviews. Staff were very kind, room wasn't cramped at all I had my bike with me and it fit no problem! As a solo female traveller as well, I felt safe in the hotel and in the area at night. It's located near lots of shops and restaurants as well. For just a quick stop before the ferry it was exactly what I needed as just a place to sleep.
