Loved everything about it except the room size, but hey it’s a former cell so not really supposed to be spacious. However in spite of being a small room it was very comfortable even without air conditioning despite its being unusually hot while we were there. Luckily the swimming pool really helped with that.

Very artsy and creative play on the fact that this really is an old prison - rooms (cells) are small but bathrooms modern and well-appointed. There are several communal spaces including a large restaurant space which is where breakfast is served in the morning. Lovely small lap pool which was very refreshing. Hotel is adjacent to the Cathedral at top of hill. We walked down into town and enjoyed several different routes, restaurants and a June 21 music fest! This was a fun and good stay (spectacular views) for two nights. Also there is an elevator to assist visitors coming up to the Cathedral, so you can mitigate the climb back up to hotel by using that. No AC but good ceiling fan.
