This is the hidden gem of Ella. If you’re trying to get away from the noise/touristy part of this city, 49 Ella is a dream. I almost didn’t want to write this because I know how special this property is but incredible WiFi, great AC, overlooking the mountains, you can see the train over the hills. The birds chirp in the morning and the sunrises are special. I don’t have words for how amazing this place is. A little outside of town, but less than $2 US to get into town. Worth it.

I have booked 49 White cottage Ella (2 bed room apartment) on last week to stay with my family. The best place I have ever stayed in Sri Lanka .The service all over was Excellent. Staff were amazing,they are going above and beyond to help.From the cottage it takes only 5 min tuk tuk ride to the city. Delicious breakfast.
View from here is stunning. We can see the three arch bridge and train passing through the woods in mountain.
We surely come back again !!!
We felt like it's our own home. We enjoyed the house and the terrace. There were two bathrooms which was quite comfortable. The staff was very helpful and cheerful. Really nice place to relax!
