Cocobay Unawatuna is a ‘safe and secure’ boutique-style beachfront resort that features a beachfront restaurant, beach deck for dining and an outdoor pool offering access to 656 feet of sandy beach with views of Galle Fort across the ocean. Cocobay Unawatuna is a 5-minute walk to Unawatuna Bus Station. Galle Railway Station is a 5-minute drive away while Galle Town is 1.9 mi from the resort. It takes approximately 2 hours to drive to Bandaranaike International Airport. Furnished with artworks and wood flooring, each air-conditioned room and suite comes with a flat-screen satellite TV (suites with Netflix), mini-bar, tea/coffee facilities, telephone and safe and the 3 Aqua Romance rooms have private plunge pools. Private bathroom has a spa bath, rain shower, bathrobes and slippers. Guests can expect a fruit basket upon arrival, pillow menu and free Wi-Fi. Guests can work-out at the gym or take up a surfing course during their stay at Cocobay. A travel counter can offer assistance with planning tours. Airport transfers are also available at an extra cost. The beachfront La Mer Restaurant serves a delicious variety of Sri Lankan, Chinese and International cuisine. After dinner drinks can be ordered from the Chill Out Lounge Bar. Chill out Lounge offers various international cocktails and spirits and wines.

The staff was wonderful and responsive to our requests. The food in general and the morning breakfast in particular was excellent. The accommodation was very good. Despite the one critique below I would highly recommend this hotel.
beach just a few steps from your room. The hotel is calm, cozy, and peaceful—perfect for relaxation. The room is spacious, and the bathroom is even larger. Additionally, there are two friendly dogs on-site, trained to guard the beach. You will feel like home.
Loved my stay here. Good vibe in rooms, comfortable bed, absolutely loved the Aqua deluxe room which had an amazing sea view. We were upgraded free of charge to a nicer room which we really appreciate on behalf. Tasty English breakfast in a lovely restaurant. Friendly and professional service provided by the staff. Definitely will be back again !!!
The beach is beautiful, very convenient for those who don't want to get too far. But also very close to Unawatuna beaches.

Rain shower was great. It’s located right on the beach which is lovely. Food was very nice (I had half board). Staff were friendly and excellent in hospitality and ensuring all was well with my stay.
