We booked the hut for two days with kids . It was private and beautiful and much better than the photos. The food was excellent and generous . They also provide safari wich was amazing with a lot of animals and additional time . We was even lucky and spotted a leopard. The hoke experience was very nice. We recommend the place and the safari guide.

It’s in a peaceful neighborhood away from commercial hotels industry. You would feel connected with nature and people in the community where most people are friendly while minding their own lives. Host family will make your stay memorable with their efforts in making their guests feel welcome and comfortable. Certainly I would recommend this place to friends and will visit again when I return to Udawalawe.

Memorable service by a wonderful host couple in a cosy home like surroundings at a convenient location right next to the baby elephants’ transit home operated by the department of wildlife. It is also located within walking distance to the Udawalawe reservoir and local restaurants. Facilities are well maintained and hosts were helpful in everything beyond expectations.
