Place was very calm. The pool was good. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Room was well arranged and good space. all over this place was warth for the money.

The lodge offers s beautiful garden! Very nice to watch birds interessant morning! ( Hornbills, Eagles, Peacocks etc.). The Pool is soo refreshing! Very driendly staff! The Park is close to the entrance of Ritigale Forest. Dont miss it!

I stayed 3 nights in a tree house. It's basic, but supercool! It has a massive balcony sitting area. (They also rent separate houses.) - Lovers of peace and quiet: this is your place. - The staff is superfriendly. - The meals are tasty and huge. - Both accomodation and food were very cheap. - The Ritigala Forest Monastery is a real gem. The entrance fee is $ 5. I went by tuktuk (1000 Rs.) and came back on foot (10 km). Be alert for elephants, though. Don't walk around when it's dark. You can also try to hitchhike. The Monastery is located in the jungle. You'll walk on 'Meditational Pathways', see stone bridges, ruins of a library ... The Monastery opens at 8 AM. Go early, then you can explore the site by yourself. This enhances the archaeological magic.

Ritigala ancient ruins and forest reserves near to the property makes it a worthy stay. If you are looking for a calm and quiet stay (without WiFi too) then RITIGALA LODGE is your place. Awesome lodges situated between lush green vegetation, they have a tree house as well. Pool was awesome too.
