A great place to stay with a very kind and friendly host, who also works as a tuk-tuk driver and tour guide. Breakfast is included, and dinner can be provided upon request for an additional cost. We also had barbecue there
in the night. I would definitely recommend this place
Ravi and Vasanti are amazing hosts!
Their place is unique, located next to a beautiful waterfall in the little rainforest outside of town. The room is big and comfortable with a balcony where to sit and relax with the sound of the water flowing, the birds singing and the monkeys playing. Ravi is also a great communicator and tour guide, he can drive you to the most espectacular attractions in Hatton surroundings, such a te plantations, temples, waterfalls and mountains with his private Tuk Tuk. His wife is very kind and she’s a great cook, you can have breakfast and all the meals at the spot.
We had a lovely stay, totally recommended!
Owner very friendly and helpful
View of the river is amazing.
We stayed in the monsoon season so the water was very fast running water too fast to swim unfortunately.
Breakfast was great, see photos on Google reviews.
Local area walks along the road have amazing views of tea plantations & lake etc.
Saw tea pickers at work 8am before breakfast.
Walk towards the lake & down into the plantation amazing views
Good value for money
Recommend.
The pictures don’t do the surroundings justice. The house(s) has a ramshackle charm and the setting is top notch, especially for the price. I went swimming in the river my first day and laid out on the rocks. you can hear the waterfalls from your room while you sleep. Ravi is an honest and welcoming host who really makes you’re going to have a good stay. He also has top notch recommendations and thankfully convinced me to stay more than just one night as my only plan in hatton was to hike Adam’s peak. But the Gartmore waterfall and swimming there was a highlight of my trip.
I came to Hatton with not much of a plan except to climb Adam’s Peak. The owner Ravi picked me up from the station and when I arrived his wife had made me the most incredible curry for dinner which was all included as part of my stay. Ravi told me all the things to do in Hatton and he designed a tour just for me. He has great knowledge of the area so could show me hidden waterfalls and take me see things off the beaten track. I went in the off season which worked out well. I was able to complete Adam’s peak in 4hrs because there were no crowds so I had lots of time to enjoy the rest of the day swimming in waterfalls, exploring the tea plantations and everything Hatton has to offer. If you’re like me and are terrible at making plans I highly recommend staying here to make the most out of your trip!!! I sadly had only one night to stay here, so I also recommend to stay more than one night so you can see everything.
