Amazing stay. If you look for a private place not far from town and beach - that’s it. The apartment is huge ! (2 balconies, 2 rooms and 2 double beds, kitchenette, big bathroom with warm water, enough towels, everything clean ) We really enjoyed the big Swimmingpool (witch gets cleaned everyday by the host), nice garden and the rural cozy area. Wi-Fi is working very good. We were greeted by the host and felt like at home. They go above and beyond to make the stay as much comfortable as you need. We can’t count the animals that we watched while sitting in the garden after a dip in the pool. Incredible colorful birds, squirrels, peacocks, frogs, beautiful cows, friendly dogs - it felt like a movie as they stay in distance. We highly recommend this accommodation for everyone that likes nature, privacy and kind people like this hosts are. We will be back !

Where to start... Firstly Dinesh and his wonderful family are such lovely hosts. Despite only having one leg...(broken leg) he went above and beyond. The guest house is in a rural area 8km North of hikkaduwa so you'll need transportation... Unless like me your happy using a bus!! It's quiet, beautiful and clean... Fabulous swimming pool after a long day in the sun. There are two fully equipped apartments so would work for a whole family. If I could give 11/10 I would. Dinesh also let me move down to the coast in his other apartment in Hikkaduwa (Red eyes cottage) which is equally brilliant (would suit solos/couples) it's also on booking.com. Tikkeries isn't quite were the map takes you, couple of photos added. Thanks for everything Dinesh & good luck with the new born soon. Thanks my friend.
