We were looking for a relaxing weekend away from the hubbub. This definitely fit the bill
It is a beautiful hacienda in the Northern Andes of Ecuador, combining traditional architecture and art with beautiful gardens !! The staff was amazing and made us feel at home (thank you!!)
The property is beautiful, quiet, and private, an oasis. Online photos did not do the property justice. Staff were friendly and helpful at every encounter. Each evening, they lit a fire in our room and placed a hot water bottle between the sheets to warm our bed. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The hotel property is gorgeous and delightful to walk around and see the large organic garden, monastery, and landscaped grounds. There are also a range of hiking trails/options directly from the hotel. Easy driving distance to Otavalo, Condor Park, Laguna Cuicocha, etc.
