I stayed at Merkeza Guest House in Oct 2024. The room was clean, spacious, and looked exactly like the pictures. The view from my room overlooking the mountains was beautiful, and the location was great as it’s right in town and most things as well as the churches were within walking distance. The staff here are also very accommodating and genuinely nice people. Communication was easy and efficient, they made sure my airport transportation was taken care of, and overall really enjoyed my stay here.

Room was very clean and comfortable, and the balcony is great with a wonderful view. Shower had hot water, internet was consistent, staff were very friendly, breakfast was delicious, and location was convenient but still quiet and private. Overall, a really great place to stay!

Tedy (owner) and family are very friendly and very helpful. The rooms are very modern and well furnished, modern bathroom, hot water. Breakfast is filling and tasty, eaten in a gazebo. Tedy helped with last minute flight changes including paying for them while we were out of town which we then paid him for on our return. There are 2-3 places to eat very close by, especially recommend Kana.

We had a lovely stay in Lalibela. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. It was very quite . At night we could admire amazing stars and in the morning the sunrise from our balcony. Teddy recommended us a great, professional guide. We visited with him Lalibela churches and local village in the mountains. The guide's name is Aynalem and you can find him on Tripadvisor. Just put "Mount Lalibela Tour and Trekking" to check him out. Teddy's location is perfect. In a quite neighbourhood but very close to shops, restaurants and the churches. Teddy's wife served us a nice breakfast - however, it was the same every day. I truly recommend the stay at Teddy's house. He's also very helpful and friendly.

everything was lovely and Tedy and his family were so kind and helpful. Lalibela is safe and the people of the town really rely on tourism so please consider going!
