This is a fabulous guest house, the owner Jaques meets you and is really welcoming and informative. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
Breakfast is a nice continental buffet style, with plenty of options. There are two pools, we only used the main one, but very clean and a good temperature. Plenty of towels and beds / seating by the pool. They also have a driver, who will shuttle you around for approximately the same cost as an uber, but he's very reliable and that’s important. The rooms are very well equipped, plenty of storage, a safe and comfy beds.
There's an honesty bar, which is well stocked for most needs I would think.
We will absolutely go back to stay the next time we are in Constantia.
Everything about the place was amazing! The hosts and staff were really friendly and made the stay very comfortable. The breakfast was prepared in their kitchen every morning and was one of the best we have had. The rooms had all the necessary amenities and a heater which was perfect for winter visits.

Devonport House is a tranquil reprieve from the bustle of Cape Town. Constantia is one of the loveliest areas in all South Africa. The guesthouse is simply superb. The hosts define gracious and welcoming, yet unobtrusive, hospitality. Treat yourself and stay here - it's the perfect place to land after the long flight from Europe or the USA. We will be back!
