Elizabeth was an amazing host and went out of her way to assist with activity planning and local pick up and drop offs.

The dinners and breakfasts by Satoshi were absolutely superb. Really good value for money.

The hosts are amazing. Elizabeth can give you all the local knowledge of places to visit.

We had a car so it was easy to get around. I would recommend hiring a car to easily get to the accommodation and also to see more around Nikko. (There are so many amazing places to visit). There are car hire places right near the station and you can easily park at the inn.

The forest surrounding the inn is lovely and the onsens are beautiful, especially the outdoor one with the forest view.

The meals offered by the hosts are beautiful and worth ordering.

The Chinese restaurant which is within walking distance (an incline on the way back though) is also delicious, probably the best Chinese food we've ever had.

The beds and pillows are very comfortable.

The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay and time in Nikko.

We loved everything about Gableview. Especially the onsen!! A special and unique experience that we’ll always remember from our time in Japan.

We were warmly welcomed by our hosts, who went the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable and to provide us with an itinerary for our brief stay in Nikko. They kindly drove us to the shrines and collected us afterwards. The food was exceptional. We also enjoyed using the outdoor onsen, as we could be in the forest. Highly recommended!
