Amazing spot all around. Location was great, right next to the Kokura station. The free pastries, snacks and soft drinks were great add on. Staff was nice. Everything was clean and I really enjoyed my stay.

The building was very nice and modern - everything up to Japanese high hotel standards. The area downstairs was great for relaxing and there is lots of options to get hot drinks, tea coffee, chocolate etc - as well as some meals and breakfast food. As far as I know it was 24/7 and their multiple options of small flavored rolls was surprisingly inviting. There is another interesting area in which all walls are filled in with Manga books - there are shelves and shelves of them and it's almost enough to even get lost in there - you can borrow them to read in the common open area or even in the room. The room was nice and clean - everything was provided and the whole experience was pleasant and relaxing.
