Toshi was a great host and made our stay in Hakuba phenomenal! He has great insight and deals on lift tickets and gear. Our room was really cozy and we greatly appreciated the tea and coffee every morning.

Convenient location; Shuttle buses to many of the ski resorts is just right behind the lodge. Few buses, including Hakuba Night Demand Taxi and Night Loop bus, leave from stops a short walk away, including those that only stops at Misorano 7-eleven (3 mins walk).

Owner provides pick-up/drop-off during check-in/out.

Comfortable bed & pillow. Spacious 4 bed female dormitory with enough space for at least 4 carry-on. Individual lights and privacy curtains. No lockers, but owner can help to store valuables. There's also space at the head/foot of your own bunk that is wide enough for day pack and more.

Clean bathrooms & toilets.

Pretty and relaxing lounge/dining area.

Have another cosy corner with back & foot massage.

Equipped with fridge, toasters, microwave, cutlery, all day tea, coffee, water etc.

A cozy cottage in Hakuba with exceptional attention to detail and decor! I had a wonderful 3-night stay. It was quiet and peaceful yet only a couple minute walk from 2 different bus stops. Wonderful, friendly hosts. Solo traveler friendly location. It's rare for a place to exceed my expectations, but this one did.

This place is an absolute hidden gem.

Mr. Kaze no Ko and his wife offer the kinda of hospitality that makes people love Japan. They were attentive to everyone's needs and offered lifts to the station/bus station and discount lift tickets and ski hire.

I think the reviews on here undersell just how good the bath is. It's more like a mini onsen. I am 6'3 and I was almost full submerged The hosts run a hot bath from 3pm and there is nothing better at the end of a day's skiing. Some reviews are talking about having to wait, but I never had an issue.

It is 1 minute walk to shuttle bus stops for Goryu Hakuba47 and Happo One ski resorts. There is a 7-11, pizza restaurant, Thai restaurant, and izakaya all within 3 minute walk.

The dorm room beds have curtains, shelves, charging ports, and lights. It's more like your own little pod than a bunk room.

When I come back to Hakuba, this is where I will be staying.

This place was amazing. I stumbled upon it and having read the reviews gave it a go. It was even better than i expected. Toshi and Haru were absolutely lovely and helped with anything you needed. The place itself is beautiful and really felt like a home. It is close to shuttles to both the ski fields and the nightlife. I would not stay anywhere else if i returned. It was an authentic, relaxing Japanese stay.
