Just 10 minutes from JR Hakuba Train Station on the free shuttle(14:30-21:00), Hakuba Skala Inn features a cozy lounge with a library, a bar and a wood-burning stove. Hakuba Skala Inn has both Western rooms and Japanese rooms, which have traditional futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. All rooms are heated.

With a toiletries, a bathtub and LCD TV (excluding basement room).

Free Wifi is available in the builing. Happo-One Ski Resort is 1.2 mi away, and Hakuba Goryu & 47 Ski Resort is about 3.1 mi away. Parking is free at Hakuba Skala Inn. My husband and I loved our stay at Skala Inn. The owners and the entire staff were wonderful and go out of their way to make your stay worth it. The breakfast is lovely, there are 3 shuttle buses for the ski lifts all within a 5 min walk from the Inn. And plenty of restaurants and bars within a 15 minute walk. The hospitality was top notch and we would stay here again for sure!

Everything was great! The couple that owns it is incredible, they go above and beyond to make the stay nice. They were always around to help and make recommendations! We will definitely be staying again when we return to Hakuba!

Wonderful family who run the Inn. It was such a pleasure to also meet the woman who has owned it for 38 years. Breakfast was delicious with a different hot dish of eggs, ham and cheese served every morning. I will definitely come back next year.

Excellent breakfast, beds were super comfy! Superb service, the host picked us up from the bus station and drove us to a ski rental place as well.

Wonderful experience at this cozy, family operated lodge. Shuttle is right outside the lodge. Breakfast and service were excellent. They even have a bar with a nice whiskey selection! We loved our time at Skala and would recommend it to anyone skiing Hakuba Valley.
