The room's equipped with a laundry machine and a microwave! That was super convenient.

The location is near the main road in Miyako city.

The staff was quite helpful too. Though most of the time we had to communicate with my newbie Japanese... There was only one staff member we met who spoke fluent English. I had to use Google translate on some occasions.

My stay at Peace Island was pleasant. The front desk staff were all very friendly and always ready to help. The public bath on the top floor was clean and not crowded at all. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The room had a view overlooking the Hirara Port so I could see the nice Miyako Blue whenever I am in my room. The washing machine comes with drying function which was super helpful. The fridge was of a normal size (not like a mini bar) so I used it easily. Location-wise, the hotel is in the town centre and next to the streets that are full of souvenir shops and restaurants. Post office, pharmacy, bank, etc. were all nearby within walking distance. From the airport, the hotel is easily accessible by taxi or bus.
