Coffee shop was excellent. Great blends, and a nice selection of light breakfast options. The bar is open until midnight, and very friendly. Much closer and an easier run with luggage from the Odakyu local station at Higashi-Kitazawa, but there is more going on and more frequent service from the Shimokiazawa main station, plus direct access to Shibuya via the Inokashira line. Turntable in each room and a wide selection of vinyl records to borrow is a nice touch.

Spectacular location and a quality if not small hotel. Staff went oit of their way the try to help, great little cafe and bar attached.. recird players in your room w records in foyer. The lication is.. great, groivy and very safe. Would recommend to family and friends alike.. shhhhhh. And its a local meeting place for dogs... we missed ours so it was wonderful

This hotel is great. It was swelteringly hot when I stayed, and the temperature of the hotel meant that you could really relax after a day in the heat. The rooms are bigger than the standard Japanese hotel. Still not huge at all, but bigger than most hotel rooms in the cities. The bed is comfortable, and I loved that they had record players in the room. You can take 3 records at a time up to them. The player and records are in need of a little TLC but it's a lovely touch. The cafe at reception does a GREAT coffee and reuben sandwich, and the bar is very cool. Great craft beers, natural and organic wines and the staff are great. The area is the coolest part of Tokyo - understated, vibey and has everything you need, but slightly away from the insanity of Shibuya/Shinjuku (but still v close to the action). I will be in Tokyo a few more times this year and I can't see myself staying anywhere else.

Great quiet location, a patio/cafe to hang out on, close to everything you could need. A cool little spot.
