I was able to have the balcony room all to myself during 2 nights' days. The drink was good after going to onsen and the staff was really friendly too. The ropeway is right past the bridge in front of the holiday home. The nearest onsen/bathhouse is less than 5 min walk, so it's not a problem.

A simple bedroom above a bookstore and cafe. The room is relatively spacious, complete with a desk, couch, and low table. fifteen minute walk from the train station, and literally 30 seconds from the nearest onsen. Very comfortable, good heating in the cold months! The staff are super friendly and can make recommendations for anything you’re interested in. I really enjoyed chatting with them. Definitely with it if you want to visit Kinosaki Onsen and have a unique experience!!

Very comfortable and clean room. Having the balcony was nice for fresh air and a view of the street goings-on. Some reviews noted that this was noisy, but we didn't have any issue with that or noise coming from downstairs. I thought the location was quite peaceful overall. At the far end of town from the train, but still very walkable. In a good location, near the ropeway and a couple of onsen.

Staff were very friendly, and gave little treats when we saw them. Very good English and welcoming atmosphere. I would recommend this spot for anyone on budget.

Didn't have the onsen pass or yukata, but they provided plenty of towels to bring to the onsen if needed.

Friendly owner. I suspect maybe more friendly & inclusive with males or perhaps couples from other reviews. The room having a private balcony was wonderful. Bar & hot drinks downstairs. Close to several onsens & shops & restaurants & opposite the ropeway which has fantastic views.Bed & pillows were good too. Access to a kitchen & washing machine downstairs.
