Super Hotel Beppu Ekimae, Беппу, Япония

The size of the room was huge in comparison to the average you get in Japan. The hot springs are just a bath on the ground floor and because of the big amount of tourists it can be quite loud there. Breakfast was tasty. The managers speak very good English and are very helpful and kind. Overall very good value for given money.

The hotel is located just a minute-walk away from the JR Beppu train station. It was convenient to get to especially since the bus stops are all in the vicinity. Checking in was a breeze and the staff were clear with their directions. They were also helpful with explaining how to use the coin laundry and the free dryer. I appreciated that it was a card-less check in because that meant I need not worry about losing the hotel card key. The breakfast was simple and it was self-service. I loved that the lounge was open after checking-in and in the evening so I could have my packed food and enjoy the drinks provided. The public bath is small but it has everything you need. The room is a little cramped and I did not have space for me to fully open my luggage but if you are out of the room most of the time, this should not bother you.
