Familie enjoys a location in Otsu, 7.6 miles from Enryaku-ji Temple and 8.5 miles from Mount Hiei. This 1-star apartment offers a garden. It was a very roomy place, especially for Japan. We invited some local friends over for a long lunch for example. Complete kitchen, big refrigerator, made entertaining easy. Comfortable bathroom facilities, excellent hot water, free parking quiet neighborhood but not too remote. I recommend it for any 2 or 4 family people who want to stay in the area.
The host was incredibly kind and welcoming. He prepared the home to be very clean and cozy for our arrival. When he took us to the train station, I absentmindedly forgot my bag at the house, and he went out of his way to drive back and bring it to me at the station—such a thoughtful gesture! The home itself was exceptionally clean and spacious, with a peaceful atmosphere and fresh air that my family absolutely loved. Thank you so much for hosting us!
It was very nice to stay in a real Japanese house. It was well outfitted and very clean with many amenities. It was a little hard to find in the dark. Hostess was very friendly and communicative
