Location location location. Incredible food and drink on the lake. Great helpful staff and noble organization.

Best hostel I stayed in during my monthlong trip to the UK!

Arrived just as it was getting dark and I was cold and hungry. Hostel was lovely and warm and good hot shower which warmed me up no end. The food was ordered without any fuss and quickly with a pint or two of real ale, can't ask for anymore as walking into Ambleside after a busy day was not an option.

Amazing view, comfortable room, great kitchen facilities, parking good. not space for everyone but considering the location not surprising. Bar reasonable and good enough range of choices even for vegetarians. Very relaxed atmosphere and plenty of sitting rooms for residents. The artwork on the walls was a lovely feature.
