Clean, spacious, well organized, great location! And the most affordable spot in El Chalten without skimping on amenities.
This is how hostels should be done! Take note everyone else. Plugs and lights in every bunk, bathrooms are cleaned, I would guess once an hour, friendly staff, and overall an exceptional experience. You can also leave your bags while you hike and come back and use the shower and facilities until your bus leaves. This is how it should be done and I hope it becomes the norm.
Rancho Aparte is a cute and cozy hostel. Because of its small size, it was very quiet during my stay and it made is easy to meet other travellers. Cakes are offered in the morning, and tea is available all day. The hostel is close to the entrance of the trails, which is great when coming back from a 10-hour hike. The hostel is also located right outside the rock climbing Vescho Wall ! El Chalten really is hiking and climbing paradise.
Great location, just a few hundred meters from the start of the Fitzroy hike.
It is very clean and you can see that the showers and bathrooms are being cleaned regularly throughout the day.
Staff are very friendly.
There is a discount on food in the adjoining restaurant for guests of the hostel
The common area is comfortable with tea making facilities.
Nice hostel with large common room and okay kitchen. Clean and quiet at night. Staff is friendly and allow you to store your stuff if you go hiking.
