Simple and basic amenities. There are no lockers inside the shared rooms. There is running water, but there is only one temperature- cold (really good after a long, hot day at Semuc Champey). The river is right next to the property, and was cold and refreshing (beware of the mosquitoes at sunrise and sunset). There was a truck waiting at the shuttle drop off spot to bring us to the hotel, and the truck brought us back to the drop off spot when it was time to go!
Great location, friendly staff, easy to book tours to Semuc Champey and shuttles to other cities.
The property is beautiful, right on a river with two pools and restaurant. It’s perfect for coming back after hikes/cave and relaxing. The room I was in was clean and the bed comfortable. There was an industrial fan that was great for keeping it cool and the bugs away. The shower was cold but it feels good after the hot day. They can arrange tours for you but it’s also easy to grab a truck at the entrance 25Q. The parking there fills up but we found space.
Beautiful cabanas and a restaurant with a breathtaking river view.
The location of this hostel is great. It is down a dirt road (and therefore very peaceful) and right on the river. Meals were fairly simple, but all very tasty. The staff was friendly and the rooms were super clean.
