The apartment was very nice. The location great, the elevator close by was perfect. We were able to get to Old Town in 15 minutes. The apartment was well supplied.
Everything - Appliances, amenities, wifi etc. - just worked like a charm and was spotlessly clean. Bed and pillows were super comfortable. The whole apartment looks even more gorgeous in real life than in photos. Love the location - in a quiet residential neighborhood, 10-15 mins walk from old town or city center. Metro station is 2-min walk + an elevator ride away if you're feeling lazy. Supermarket right around the corner. Communication with Josu was always quick and painless. Had a super relaxing stax and cannot recommend this enough!
Very clean and comfortable. Amazingly quiet with well-insulated windows. Location was ideal for visiting city on foot. Three supermarkets within a short distance. Professionally run with responsive assistance.

The Chess House is a one-bedroom fully self-contained apartment on the ground floor of a large apartment block in a Bilbao suburb about 1km from the historic old town and about 1.5km from the new town and the Guggenheim Museum. The area immediately around the apartment is quite hilly but a network of lifts and escalators, as well as the No. 28 Bilbobus stop nearby, improves access to those areas by the river. The apartment itself is spacious, comfortable and very well set up for self-catering. Josu, the apartment owner, takes great pride in his apartment, is an excellent communicator and was very attentive to our needs. He met us on arrival and showed us around and organised a taxi to the airport when we left.
