A beautiful location in Varenna, right off the water and just off the piazza. There is a very spacious shared veranda with chairs for a very relaxing view of the lake.

Our hosts, Giorgio and Alberto could not have been more accommodating. From the moment we were greeted at the train station by Alberto and guided by Giorgio through our apartment and quick tour of the area we were set to go and enjoy the beauty of Lake Como. Giorgio’s restaurant and activity recommendations and suggestions were spot on. Casa Gardens was private but easily accessible , comfortable and very clean.

I loved this little heaven in Varenna. I was traveling alone (during off season-March) and really thought the place was amazing. The host was amazing. She had a driver pick me up at the station and then i meet her in the town center and we walked to the house, which was a few minutes walk away. They left me a bottle of wine as well. The moment i arrived and saw the place i wanted to cry. It was so beautiful. The view from the living room is amazing, the private walk away is gorgeous and the actual apartment cute and cozy. Close to everything. Really great hosts too. I never wanted to leave. I would definitely come back to rent this spot again.

Lorena, Giorgio and Alberto were great! We met at check-in and again at their shops in Varenna. Lorena arranged to have the local celebrity taxi driver, Lorenza, to pick us up at the train station when we arrived. This is a really nice perk. The location is extremely convenient to the Castle Vezio, the ferry terminal, and Villa Monastero. The property also has a significant historical pedigree as the Hotel Royal after a visit by Queen Victoria in 1839. There is a private garden most likely frequented by the likes of poet Alfred Lord Tennyson and Danish painter Peder Mork Monsted. Our favorite memory is sitting in the privacy of the beautiful terrace, on the edge of Lake Como, with a bottle of wine and charcuterie board watching the sunset. It is magical.

Alberto, the property manager, was extremely warm, courteous and prompt in taking us to an from the train station. The apartment is simple but the view and access to a private terrace right on the lake is outstanding! Great central access to everything.
