The hotel itself is beautiful, we really liked the little pool downstairs and the fact that the hotel is located near almost everything. We could walk to a majority of places, if not, we took an Uber which didn't cost that much. The Wi-Fi worked great too! Furthermore, the staff was very friendly, and helpful, and our room comfortable. We needed to print out a document and the staff helped us with that immediately. We had some issues with the air conditioner, but the moment we asked about it, the staff did their best to fix it (it was a bit of a noisy air conditioner, but that was fine). Overall, we had a very good stay at Akel house hotel.

Room was big enough, it had a chair and desk in case you need to do some work. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. I consider this hotel is well located.

The first room we got was not what we expected at all, but when we talked to the front desk about it they were incredibly understanding and were able to give us a different one, even giving us the option to pick our room. Super helpful and sweet people both at the desk and cleaning the rooms/serving breakfast. There was also someone at the desk 24/7 which was really nice. The hotel itself was also in a very good and safe location as it was in walking distance to the main streets of Getsemani (only two blocks away), the old fort (5-10 minute walk), and just a 5 minute walk from the clock tower, but not so much that it was loud. I enjoyed having everything I needed nearby without having to get a taxi or an uber.
