We stayed in a spacious and spotless room with a comfortable bed and great amenities. The highlight was the beautiful balcony overlooking the sea, absolutely stunning. Breakfast was perfect, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The reception staff were efficient, helpful, and genuinely kind. This could have easily been a 10/10 stay with a few simple fixes.

The location of the hotel is perfect, right at the harbor, and a short walk from the downtown area. The hotel has great facilities: a swimming pool, a sauna, a steamroom -- and the last two are only 15 euros a person, a great deal. The breakfast is magnificent: half a dozen raw vegetables so you can make your own salad, half a dozen grilled or stewed vegetables, such as zuchini and mushrooms and tomatoes, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, smoked salmon, 10 different kinds of breads, excellent local cheeses, a slice of quiche, a muesli corner, half a dozen pieces of fresh fruits, et cetera et cetera. Helpful staff. A 10-minute walk takes you to the Monte Brasil nature reserve, which is great for long walks with a 200-meter climb if you want to. Spectacular views from the top of the city and the ocean. I even saw a family of wild deer. The downtown area is UNESCO World Heritage and rightly so. Quite a few facilities for such a small town.

The location was perfect. Walkable to everything we wanted to see.
