Designed by Edwyn Lutyens 1914, this hotel is worth staying at just to marvel at the architecture.
Our room overlooked the entrance drive and had a lovely view of the neatly kept garden to the front.
The room was comfortable and quiet, with tea/coffee and bottled water provided.
A wide screen TV , comfy bed and powerful shower we're Stand out facilities.
The staff, from Reception, Housekeeping to Restaurant/Bar were all polite and helpful.
Notably, the weekend we stayed there were 2 wedding functions on. Neither impacted on our stay or caused any disturbances.
We would recommend this hotel.
