This family-run Ambleside bed and breakfast offers on-site parking £12, free Wi-Fi, and bedrooms, shower and king-size beds. There are scenic views over Wansfell and Loughrigg. Brathay Lodge was built around 1890 and is very well located for walkers, mountain bikers and golfers visiting the Lake District. Ambleside has many restaurants and bars offering different types of cuisine. Rooms at Brathay Lodge are spread over 4 floors, with access using stairs. Some rooms have Lakeland views and balconies. Fair trade tea and coffee with biscuits are available in the rooms. A continental buffet breakfast is served each morning in the warmly decorated dining room overlooking the garden. The bed and breakfast is close to the center of Ambleside and scenic walks. Lake Windermere is about 10 minutes' walk away.

The room was amazingly clean, modern finishing. Location was just perfect a stone throw away the little town, and a small walk away from the lake and hiking trails.
The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again next time.
Cozy room, clean bathroom, and fantastic breakfast every morning. And the location is so great and easy to walk into town
Great location. Easy access to walks, shops, transport. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and well decorated. Breakfast was delicious fresh fruit, baked items and a good selection. Room was very warm could have done with a fan ( I am sure one could have been supplied had we asked early enough).
Room was spacious, clean and modern. Met Karen our host was very friendly and happy to give us some visitor advise. Location of the B&B is ideally located in Ambleside and we could walk to everything in the village.
The B&B is a great location, just short walk to the city center.
The room was comfortable and clean.
The breakfast is great (with lots of fruits), I really enjoyed. They advise that there is not hot food, but I really miss not having scramble egg.
