The location in an old historic house facing the water is fantastic. We ate at the "bar" and had breakfast each morning. The food was excellent. The room, while tight, was comfortable and more than met our needs.
I liked how the hotel was situated right in front of Oban Harbor so the guests can watch the Paddle Steamer Waverley, other ships and Caledonian MacBrayne ferries coming and going every day. This is especially good when other guests join you for a drink and a good night's conversation about a category we all have an interest in.

Charming. From days gone by. Great furnishings (if you like antiques) great local crowd. Stunning views. Our room with a Seaview was airy and light.
