Located on the seafront, Oban Youth Hostel offers rooms with private toilets and showers, and is just 10 minutes’ walk from Oban rail and bus stations. Kitchen and lounge facilities, free on-site parking and free bicycle storage are also provided. An internet hotspot, laundry facilities and luggage storage are available. Full English and continental breakfasts are on offer in the modern dining room and snacks and drinks can be bought in the on-site shop. Oban is known as “The Gateway to the Isles" and the ferry port is just a 15-minute walk from the hostel. Oban Distillery is only a 10-minute walk away and features a Sensory and Flavors Tour which runs regularly throughout the day. The impressive McCaig’s Tower is a 15-minute walk away.

Wonderful location in Oban, along the water. We were fortunate to be given a room on the lower floor so didn't have any interior stairs to deal with.
It was a charming Victorian villa perched on Corran Esplanade with front-row views of the Firth of Lorne. Our room had a wonderful view occasionally seabirds soared past our window and ferries glided towards Mull. The hostel’s blend of historic character and modern comforts—spotless en-suite rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and a lounge with bay windows framing the harbor—made it an ideal base.
The hostel is located in front of the beach, just 10-minute walked to the pier.
The room was superb with a window facing the beach, offering the best angle to watch the sunset.
The surrounding of hostel was peaceful.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was good and worth the money.
I thought the location was stunning, the price was excellent (January of course so very cheap for a private double room with ensuite) combined with the fully stocked kitchen it was fantastic.
The size of the room was wonderful, as it was very spacious. The view from our room of the water could not be any better.
