Room was nice. It was a good pub close to amenities
the owner was lovely and super kind, rooms were spotless, and everything I needed was in walking distance, would stay again.
The place was clean and the bed was comfortable, clean bathroom, nice towels and a good tea tray. The lady who booked me in and took me to my room was really lovely.I would have liked to have been able to sit in the bar and have a drink but I didn't feel comfortable doing that. I travel a lot on my own and I don't usually worry about sitting alone.
The hotel was very convenient for transport (bus & rail stations within a couple of hundred metres) and shops were close by. The staff were really friendly and the proprietor went out of his way to help, advising on the best places to eat, local services etc.
The room was clean and tea and coffee were provided.
I liked the over all accommodation and staff were excellent and very friendly.
Cannot recommend the Castle as a venue on its own and if booking I'd definitely go through the Castle itself rather than OYO.
