St John's Lodge is an award-winning guest house located between Windermere village and the Lake at Bowness Bay. Windermere village center, Bowness, the Lake, restaurants and cafes are all within walking distance of the property. St John's Lodge offers an extensive range of cooked breakfasts including traditional English, gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, vegan and fresh fish dishes. There is free access to an off-site health club, located 2 miles from St John's Lodge. This provides free access to a swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and fitness classes for all guests during their stay, including on check out day. There is a small car park on-site and further parking close-by. The hosts offer advice for local walks, events and restaurants. There is a small garden with a mix of plants and garden furniture. There is also free hire of local guides, maps, board games and umbrellas.

Beautiful property, lovely room and facilities. Breakfast was lovely and amazing variety and choice. The hosts were lovely and very accommodating and understanding about a late arrival.
Location was great and short stroll to either town. Parking was good (either in front or across street). Breakfast is amazing! Room was a good size and the bathroom had been updated.
Don't look any further, this was our first visit and we will definitely return. It is a beautifully decorated property which gives a home from home feeling. Rich and Ada are brilliant hosts and offer an extensive selection of breakfast options for all dietary requirements. The food and service we had was superb, location is ideal ,situated midway from Windermere and Bowness on Windermere.
The breakfast was excellent lots of gluten free options. Rich the host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Lake District . He always had time for you to chat about the best restaurants etc .Very enjoyable stay definitely stay again. Rooms very comfortable clean . The place is situated in a perfect spot right in the middle of Windermere.
Loved the breakfast menu so much choice, even catered for my daughter's unconventional needs. Great location and hosts.
