The shores of Grasmere Lake are just 15 minutes away on foot and the surrounding fells contain numerous scenic walking trails. Grasmere village is just a 10-minute walk away. Home-cooked meals are available in YHA Grasmere’s restaurant, while guests can also cook within the self-catering kitchen and make use of the dining room. There is also a cafe on-site and a small shop for guests. The majority of rooms at YHA Grasmere’s contain bunk beds. Guests are able to relax in spacious, lovely grounds, while there is also a games room and Wi-Fi access.

Great location. Clean facilities and very helpful staff
Location was excellent, lots of great walks right on your doorstep and close to all the pubs and cafés in Grasmere. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms, bedding, toilets and communal areas all very clean and well kept. , Didn't eat at the hostel but seemed like a good choice of food available.

Friendly, welcoming staff in an excellent location in walking distance to town center. Nice shared spaces and, bonus, laundry facilities and a drying room.
Honestly my kids were most nervous about staying in a hostel, but we had the most fun from our entire stay (road-tripping throughout the UK). The kitchen was a relief—getting dinner after a long day, or options for full breakfast the next morning were awesome. We spent a lot of time in the game room—and ended up having to buy Clue after we returned home because it was so much fun to just have that time…
