We stayed in the summer and most of Steamboat Springs is geared towards the winter. It was a perfect summer location, but we hardly spent any time there. I could image how it would work in the winter and I think that could be great as well. I liked the location which is far enough from the crazy of town to be very peaceful, but not so far that one needs to think twice about going into town. I like the funky architectural style -- while not current, it's very well maintained and our room was comfortable.

The hotel has everything you need for a fun trip. The loft condo we stayed in was clean and well equipped with everything we needed for the weekend. The hotel has a nice indoor pool with 2 large hot tubs. The adjacent patio has a nice grassy area and lawn chairs plus grills. My son enjoyed the game room, although they could use a couple new ping pongs.
