I have been a recurrent guest at the Pod 51 for its location and as I took advantage of a discount promotion. Without the promotion, I think that it's too expensive. Also, a major turn off, which made me choosing other hotels in NY, recently, are all the surcharges applied to the price base for a room.
Location, price, and very clean place to stay for a hostile, got the private room and bath, room is very small, but clean and manageable or busy New York all I needed was a place to sleep and lay my head. Would definitely stay here again.
Small but cozy room and space is utilized very well. I had a double room, but was alone, so slightly more space for one person. For two people, it would be tight but possible. Value for money, budget but brilliant option for New York. Definitely going back there again.
I also liked the roof garden, very social place where guests mingle.
The rooftop is really nice, and the bar next to the property is really convenient. You get a lot of towels, shampoo, etc and the daily cleaning makes the stay comfortable
I paid $96 per night, plus tax and the extras it was about $120 a night for 8 nights. I had a small tidy room, good wifi and nice prompt service and 3 blocks from my work. In NYC you simply cannot beat this. There is NO BETTER DEAL. I travel for business all the time and if you need to be economical......this is it.
