The location is excellent, close to good restaurants to fit different budgets, close to transport. The area has a real buzz, the beds are huge and comfortable, and the service and advice from the front desk is exceptional.

Perfect hotel in a perfect NYC location. Super eclectic place. This hotel is tastefully restored retaining original details with the owner-created-art everywhere and an incredibly friendly staff. The owner greeted us and gave us a detailed rundown of the restoration which he designed. From stairwells to rooms to lobby and dining room the place is unique with a classic yet modern comfort feel. The lobby had coffee and pastries created by the proprietors wife. Locals seemed to go there just for the pastries and coffee...and vibes I'm sure. We booked a room with a balcony off the back and the city views and NYC vibes were unmatched. The location couldn't be more perfect in the heart of the Bowery with cocktails and food every other doorway. Just an incredible stay and I'd stay again for sure. photos are from balcony and room windows.

Lovely cute hotel and yes the name Historical It’s just perfect. We stayed at the junior suite We had a balcony and we dance all night. We stayed here as a last minute reservation . I’m happy we ended here because we wanted to party and oh boy we did. The elevator scared me a little But it’s truly historic. My husband said it has a vintage vibe. LOCATION 10/10 Jessica from housekeeping Had our room spotless. My husband forgot to take his suit from the closet And she ran to reception to bring it to us.
