A great hotel - incredibly friendly. We wanted somewhere to stay overnight to break up the journey from the Dordogne to Caen - and this was superb. Amboise was a lovely town, and even though the centre was on the opposite river bank, the walk was only 10 minutes. Great range of bars and restaurants!

The hotel has a fascinating connection with a hot air ballooning company, which is run out of the adjoining warehouse. Everything is balloon-themed in the hotel - new, clean and comfortable, a very good buffet breakfast and all at a very reasonable price. It's also very secure, with coded-gate entry to carpark.

The checking on was so easy. We wanted to check in outside the opening times of reception and simple instructions were mailed which was fab. Secure parking that needed passcode to access. The rooms were great and beds very comfortable. No noise from outside at all. Excellent breakfast. Staff were super friendly. We stayed an extra night so we could look around the town some more. Highly recommended.
