Close to the lake, 5 mins walk from the railway station. The Ticono ticket is an added bonus for travelling around the local area. Excellent restaurant attached to the hotel.

The hotel located at nice area near old town and the modern district , there are a very good restaurants around the hotel area where including the hotel restaurant, also , the hotel is a few steps from the lake , the hotel was clean and modern , secured and cosy.

While I've been to Locarno several times, this was my first stay in the Hotel City Locarno. I was very pleased with it. It's in a "downtown" area, but very walkable and pleasant (about an 8 minute walk from the train station, two minute walk from the closest bus stop) and is close to a park and Lake Maggiore. The staff spoke excellent English and was very friendly. My single room was smallish but very adequate, quiet, and comfortable; the bed was great. Plenty of outlets available. The bathroom facilities were fine. Wifi was great. The breakfast offerings were varied and tasty. We tried the Italian restaurant on the hotel property and were also pleased with the pleasant service and delicious food. (Reservations recommended or go right when it opens as it filled up quickly on a weekday night.) Property photos are accurate. Highly recommend this property.
