Room with AC and a balcony all for us. There was also a mini fridge to keep water fresh. Good private bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
Very close to Ocean9 beach which is way better and less crowded than the more famous Cloud9 beach.
I highly recommend this place! We had been looking for something a bit outside of GL and Haole was just perfect. The host was incredibly kind, gave us perfect tips in perfect english. During our stay there was a brief time without water, which the host immediately had fixed for us. The room was super clean and amazing for us, with a shared terrace with freezer, water-refill, a darts game and plenty of space to hang out. The rest of the staff was also super kind. They are handling both the hostel and a restaurant downstairs, which is also very nice! They even fried some eggs that we brought ourselves, as for vegetarians the restaurant does not have that many options.
5 min by scooter from the hostel (bumpy road) there is a beautiful beach (Oceans 9) with a beginner friendly surf spot (beach break, left wave).
I have to say, you do need a scooter in this area, distances too far to walk everything.
