The sense of community and connection they create for travelers truly feels like home. It’s easy to meet and bond with people from different backgrounds, and even solo travelers will never feel left out. Big kudos to the staff at Hiraya for making that happen. I also appreciate how well they organize everything each day. I’d definitely stay there again if I return to Siargao!

Everything is clean. The showers, toilets are cleaned everyday. The staff are super friendly, they would always greet you whenever you pass by the reception. Shout out to Berna. Great place to meet new people for solo travellers. I didn’t have problem with my roommates esp bed time, everyone was silent. There’s a dinner party on Saturdays as well. Overall, i would recommend. I will definitely go back and stay here.

One of if not the best community/social hostels ive stayed in. Not a party hostel but plenty of opportunity to do so. Meet people easily and build a friendship group straight away.

The staff and the social atmosphere are great, and are definitely the best things about Hiraya. They schedule social and outdoor activities all the time so there’s always fun to be had with other guests. But they still keep things quiet by 10 pm, so you’ll be sure to get proper rest for that early morning surf. Bed is comfortable, pool is great. Shoutout to the super friendly staff. See you next time!
