Stay was pretty good; room was big, bed was comfortable and amenities were adequate.

Amazing stay, loved everything will definitely be back.

This hotel was likely once very grand but It seems to have slipped somewhat. Our room was quite functional and clean but could use a facelift The staff at this hotel are all very helpful and we appreciated that they allowed us to bring our bicycles into our room with us overnight.

What a lovely hotel experience we had at the Hotel 1843 Reading! The hotel itself is very interesting....it hearkens back to an age of grandeur with many winding staircases covered in lavish carpets and nice comfy sitting areas. Our room was very comfortable with a window that could be easily opened to let in fresh air. We were surprised to learn that breakfast was included in our reservation and it was an excellent breakfast. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel location is perfect, right downtown near the Oracle shipping center and the Kennet and Avon River.

Fantastic property, great for a more budget location to Henley. Inside is very comfortable and the rooms are really clean.
